Barbarella Comic

Barbarella Comic book by Jean-Claude Forest. This is a rare and highly sort after copy printed by Grove Press in New York in the late 1960s it is the second edition and features Jane Fonda as Barbarella on the Front Cover.

Jean-Claude Forest was born in 1930 in Perreux France. A painter he exhibited at the Galerie Schmidt in Paris in 1965. Barbarella was originally intended as a game, privately done for the amusement of himself and his friends, but it was immediately successful with the French public and later in the rest of Europe and America leading to the major Paramount Picture starring Jane Fonda directed by Roger Vadim.

Over the past few years there has been a lot of talk about remaking this classic film.
